Subtitles upload: is it fair?

Hi, I am a bsplayer user, and I found occasionally useful, for movies, the online subtitles feature.
But for tv shows I usually only refer to a website that has them all, and always first, and that would be addic7ed.com.
Since I'm a supporter of that site I was wondering whether it is fair that bsplayer users can upload subtitles that have been downloaded from a site.
This means that other users will have the subs without going directly to the site, and although it might seem easier for user, in the long run it would mean that the site gets less visits, and we all know that they are what keeps a website running.
So if there would be any chance for them to remain afloat and pay for the costs, it would change in really no time.
Is it fair?
