When video aspect ratio is set to anamorphic, subtitles remain stretched

Hi guys,
I'm using an anchient laptop that has a VGA output. I have a full HD tv.
The laptop outputs 4:3 picture and the TV makes an adaption and streches the picture to fit the whole screen. So I use the anamorphic feature and the picture is no longer stretched!
but, the subtitles, to my dismay are not effected by the anamorphic feature and are displayed streched.
What do you guys suggest?:teeth:
