Some bugs I found Late edit : day 15th April Media library : bugs at - and X buttons ; same as in playlist + Alot of crashes/error messages when you listen one melody and want to jump to next (which does not exist) , when you listen melodies and move them to another folder ... this 2 shouldn't be showed as errors ... instead STOP command on melody should do the job (cause the user knows what he does and he can easly understand why they stoped) .. All Bugs I found: Playlist : - and X buttons Media Library : - and X buttons some error messages ... Late edit : night 15th April Playlist (old style) - button bugged ... Can you tell us at least which build of BSPlayer are you refering ? Meanwhile there were 2 new builds released (1032 and 1033). Have you tested them ? Same bug ? Are using an old skin, a new skin ? Do you use skinned window, menus ? |

BSplayer 2.52 build 1030 ... i am staying behind for stability thats why i tell the bugs for the admins to verify the latest version for them ... + I'm checking in the list of current bugs for them before post ... I'm using default skin (Base) No skinned windows ... original bsplayer visuals :D |

Hey guys ... the X and - problem still persists on Win 7 .. in latest version . when i tested it and answered it was on XP ... and there it was working soo fine ... on win 7 x64 all those bugs are still there ... and i dont know why ... could it be a registry problem ? (i installed 1034 over 1030 / or some reg file keeps this options going wrong ..) ... please reopen topic so we can find a solution cuz it's getting really annoying ... I have an Acer 5741g with multimedia buttons ... and when i use it ... half the time it doesnt workk or it shows error ... the funny thing is that multimedia does not work like it should (... the buttons dont work in bsplayer ... not always ...) |

Why I found soo many bugs : quartz.dll : this little dude has magical powers ... all bugs report had him as reason ... i tried to resolve it with a registry repair ... dont do it ... I ended up reinstalling Win 7 x64 ... and got BSplayer 1034 and surprise ... all working great ... no errors and no bugs ... soo if some admins have a clue why quartz.dll is making this bugs and errors appear I could use a answer ... | FOR ADMINS | FOR MODERATOR : U can put the beattle back on :D |

Problems with quartz.dll are not unknown to the BS.Player community. E.g. look at this old (2004!) post by bst (the factual creator of BS.Player) or this post by Tizio (How did you try to unsuccessfully repair it?)

i tried something with DEP .. and allowed BSPLAYER ... and didnt enter on desktop ... and the fix with run does not work ... any suggestion? I found out that ACER LAUNCH MANAGER makes this all happen ... ... uninstall->fix quartz.dll->install worked now lets see if multimedia buttons work ... nah.. is useless because BSplayer gets the quartz error after a few forwards ... and i need to do uninstall fix install to work ... and its not soo cool ... |

Quartz.dll it's a part of DirectX, the hearth of windows multimedia (directshow). Unregistering means you lose the associations with the other filters. On the other hand, all filters have dependencyes on this dll, so a crash on it it, does relate to other filters |

well i dont know how to resolve this problem but i have some tips for those who face with this situation : 1. Do not use multimedia buttons when BSplayer is on screen (default mode) ... it may give you a error and thats all ... 2. If you want to use it use, use it when BSplayer is hidden (H hotkey/in tray) and remember do not use it in BSplayer main window ... because you may be forced to uninstall fix reg and install + settings |
