Default Flac support

Hi, i reinstalled windows 7 64bit and suddenly BS Player isn't playing flac files.
It's weird because it's the same computer and OS as before and it was playing flac just fine before.

Maybe its something with the new version? Do i need to do something in order for BS to play flac?

Thanks

I suppose you also reinstalled BS.Player?
During BS.Player's installation, did you (when asked) allow BS.Player to also internally install its preferred codecs/filters?
(Internally meaning for use by BS.Player only and not interfering with your systems codecs/filters.)
Any codec-packs installed?

When posting always mention your computer's OS and the version and build number(!) of BS.Player as used by you,
as well as - if applicable and especially when encountering problems - the type(s) of the file(s) mentioned in your post.

Maybe UAC prevented proper installation of BS.Player's filters/codecs?
To be sure switch off UAC and run codecmanager.exe which can be found inside BS.Player's installation folder.

Also verify if flac is selected as "Associated extension"
(under rightclick > Options > Preferences > General > Filetypes)

Do you use Free or Pro version?
Pro-version users are entitled to get direct (email) support from BS.Player-team (click here).
Anyway, I'll ask Ico-man to also have a look at this problem.

Codecs.com :: Download madFLAC 1.10 : madFLAC is a DirectShow decoder filter for FLAC files.

Does it work now ?

I tried to install madFLAC 1.10, which failed:
Can not open madFLAC.zip, install failed!

I then unzipped the madFLAC.zip, which did appear, and ran install.bat:
The DirectShow filter "madFlac.ax" was registered succesfully.

It doesn't work in BS.Player yet and the madFLAC codec isn't listed in the BS.Player codec manager.
Is BS.P supposed to detect the madFLAC codec automatically or do I need to do something more? I reinstalled BS.P. Still not working.

Strange thing. Downloaded a small flac file from here:

Samples for Testing Audio Codecs

and BSPlayer plays it with no problem. In advanced filter window there is a FLAC decoder which seems to be...internal ?
