SPDif Output Here's the deal.. I've just installed my new machine, and I was trying to configure bsplay to use spdif output for ac3 movies. I've search everywhere for a solution, and none of the supposed solutions/workarounds worked so far.. so... here's the problem I've instaled bsplay I've instaled windvd I've instaled ac3filter, first 0.7 version, then 1.01 I've configured SB Live 5.1 for digital output only, 5.1 speakers, both in windows and surround mixer Problem is.... If I select ac3filter as my ac3 decoder, and enable spdif output.. a strange noise comes out of my collumns (seems like an alien screaming in pain, or freddy krugger rubbing is nails on a peace of metal) If I select Intervideo Audio Decoder, SPDif output is grayed, as well ans 4 and 6 channels, only 2 channels are enabled. Plus, nomatter what i choose in the prefered audio device, it always shows movies with "n.channels : 2", even when they have 6.. i tried direct sound, wave out, everything. I tried diferent versions of iviaudio.ax, but they all work the same so, i'm going out of solutions here... I had this working before, with previous versions of bsplay... i've tried tsunami pack, nimo pack, every pack... and nothing no spdif enabled... so... what do i have to do to get this thing working?????? my machine (in case you need to know) P4 3GHZ HYper Asus P4C800E-Deluxe Asus T440i SB Live! 5.1 OEM Live! Drive Realmagic xCard 1Gb RAM DTT3500 Cambrige WinXP SP1 Guess you dont need any more information right? So... it's unmarked.... plus, in the output options there's no spdif.. i have 3/2 + SW 5.1 channel selected everything else is by default all options under "use a3 filter for" and "SPDIF passthrough" are checked the default audio render is "use default direct sound", though i tried with "use wave as default audio renderer" the result is a "bsplayer error" BSplayer v1.02.812, Unhandled exception at EIP: 0173F1C9 If you click 'Close' application will be terminated. Like I said in my previous message.. everytime I choos AC3Filter now, BSPlay just crashes on start.. I can't see anything 'cause the movie just crashes.. Right now I'd like to get Intervideo working... |

SPDif Output
Ok.. So I got AC3Filter to work on BSPlay, without crashing. Decoder Info Shows: "Input AC3 - 48000Hz AC3 Speakers: 3/2+LFE (5.1) Sample Rate: 48000Hz bitrate: 448kbps stream: 8 bit frame size: 1792 bytes" Input levels show activity (green bars) in all columns Output is currently 2/0 - stereo, PCM 16bit, and allows me to choose only pro-logic and pro-logic 2 Spdif (disabled) option is unchecked output levels show activity in both left and right columns (since stereo is chosen) so.. how the hell do i choose spdif output, and get 5.1 in this? cuz it's not allowing me to choose |

AC3Filter allows me to change output type from "1/0 - mono" to "Dolby ProLogic II" no matter which kind of speakers I have. Driver problems? |

SPDif Output
No. But i Kind'a isolated the problem.. sort of.. the problem with ac3filter is the same as with intervideo where it says "spdif (disabled)", should be "spdif (passthrough)" so.. my problem is.. though i have digital output on my SB 5.1, and though I listen to everysound.. everything else doesnt recognize my spdif... |
