Suggested earlier (on several occasions actually), but if I'm not mistaken there are some (legal) issues with respect to licences which prevent this [there being a paid (commercial) pro-version as well as an (adware supported) free version of BSPlayer].

Legality
but more codecs (like Ace Pro, DivX, XVid, etc.) are legal and free for download (and use). Many of players (and other) are including the free codecs and they haven't any probrems from the law. Additionally - not all userrs have enought time to search the lot of pages for valid codecs, and without them many audio and video woudn't run (play). |

Re: Legality
There are already codec packs that include conflicting codecs plus media players, even pirated BSPlayer. If you feel those distributives are better than manually chosen decoders, use them. BSPlayer should not become yet another codec pack. You can see some users at this forum believe that, for example, hacked Microsoft MPEG-4 codec is a better choice for DIV3 video and both XViD and DivX 6 should be used for MPEG-4 ASP files. Others (like me) use ffdshow to decode those videos. List of recommended codecs |

Yes, some users prefer one or more codecs (but, as a personal note, take care: as few as possible!!) and others prefer ffdshow. E.g. as shown by/in this thread: http://bsplayer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=25609#25609
