Probably something messed up your audio MPEG decoder. Try to install an alternate one, such as Moonlight Odio Dekoda (works with most os the audio formats from MPEG to AC3)

I tried the above--installing Moonlight Odio Dekoda--and I still don't get sound in mpg movie files. I had no problem before I upgraded to 2.21 Pro. Any more ideas???

Thanks

With moviefile loaded, what is shown under
rightclick > Options > Filters > Advanced?

P.S.:
Already tried if re-registering quartz.dll makes any difference?

I was afraid you'd ask that, the answer is too darned embarrassing.

The player's volume was all the way down. I had had the former version of BSPlayer turned all the way up and used my multimedia keyboard for controlling volume, so I managed to completely overlook the player's volume control. Yikes :!:

 I've made the same mistake. I only use my soundcard's mixer or sndvol32 for adjusting volume and completely forgot about the slider in BSPlayer's interface.
