Really? But, i ever tried & failed, bsplayer only show "track01.cda ....." - no text information :?: i use nero to burn a cd-text, it works on nero media player v4.x. Also, i just found a free cd-text plun-in for windows media player 11 and it works too. Because the cd's content is edited by myself, i think the information doesn't come from cddb. What setting or plugin is needed for bsplayer? i use v2.24free. |

We have tested cdtext feature created with Nero, and we found some issues which will be resolved in next version 2.26.

CD-TEXT now works perfectly!! :D Thank you Only problem is that the first song on the CD has the title name shown instead of the artist name (but since it's the only CD with CD-TEXT that I have got, I don't know if the problem resides in the CD itself or in BS.Player  )

I also have questions about reading CD-TEXT. Tried Windows Media Player 9 with no help and Winamp 5 with no help, decided to try Bsplayer with no help. From which version reading CD-TEXT is implemented into Bsplayer? Note: If you have internet connection CDDB server tries to connect the database and retrieves results, after you prompt the correct album/artist, your songs are seemed as having CD-TEXT as all the track names and artists are listed, but this is not CD-TEXT, it's deceptive thing so you must disable internet before determining if you're able to read CD-TEXT really.

Aren't you a bit over-reacting? Couldn't you just "block all traffic" (using your Internet security application)?

It's supported since 2.26 for sure, I don't know if previous versions can handle it properly since I never tried it before yesterday :P There are still some minor issues to be solved that I hope to be able to post in the next days, but it works really good now

CD TEXT AND BS.PLAYER
BS.Player first tries to read cd text infromation from an audio cd, and if it can not find it, then it connects to CDDB server. If you do not want to use CDDB (ie. to check if cd text if read properly by BS.Player) you simply uncheck "CDDB ENABLED" option in Options>Audio, and BS.Player will not try to connect to CDDB server.
