Exclamation Downloaded new version, no automatic subtitles?

I downloaded version 2.42 and ever since that moment the player doesn't automatically load or search for subtitles anymore. That's what I loved to much about BS Player..
Why is this?

And can anybody tell me how I can remove a subtitle? Last night I let BS player search for a subtitle and it suddenly showed some foreign language that I didn't understand.. I had no idea how to remove it again..

Thank you for your answers.

Rachel, the inexperienced (in using BS Player..)

Default

Please verify your settings under:
(rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Subtitles > [Subtitle properties]
Is the correct language (for you) selected at "Default subtitle language"?
(to disable subtitles: check the box at "Subtitles disabled")

((rightclick >) Options > Preferences > Subtitles >) [Online subtitles]
Is "Enable online subtitles" selected and the box of the URL checked at "Online subtitle URLs"?

To select another subtitle as the one found automatically:
(rightclick >) Subtitles > Find subtitles manually ... etc.
