Default [REQ] Preload/Cache a movie into RAM

Hi,

My harddisc produces a high pitched noise, so it would be great if BSPlayer would preload a movie into RAM, so that there would be no disc activity. After a few minutes my energy saving settings would kick in and turn the harddrive off (or even BSPlayer could do that).
A lot of people don't have the 700+ MB free RAM, necessary for the whole movie to be cached. But I would tolerate a few pauses (and on-off cycles of the harddrive) during the playing rather than listen to the harddrive noise all trough the movie.

OR - is there allready some software that would do that for me (partialy cache a file), without the need to implement the feature into the BSPlayer?

Thanks,

Primoz
