Yeah, MVP3 based boards support up to 768 megs of ram as far as I know.
BUT, the amount cacheable is based on the amount of level 2 cache. This is because it is based on the P5 architechture. 512k cache enables 128 to be cached (used efficiently) 1 meg is 256, etc.
While uncached ram is less efficient, it is better than accessing the swapfile on ones hard dirve of course.
Heh, the processor is a 350. I had to run it at 3.1v (normal is 2.2). Luckily the heatsinks have improved a lot since the K6-2 days.
Anyways, thanks for your help. I am putting together a Celeron 1 ghz for the purpose. This machine will now become my nostalgic Action Quake2 Server.
