Default open source?

There are many simple features I would like to see in BSPlayer. I know I can code many of them. I’m an experienced coder, but not with video. I think I could be helpful in making BSPlayer more user-oriented and featureful. Is there any chance of BSPlayer going open source? I would bide by any license. I won’t release anything, but to the BSPlayer team and you would own all my work on BSPlayer (whatever you guys want). I like BSPlayer a lot and I would like to see many new features.

some I would work on if allowed:
1) audio sync features (http://forum.bsplayer.org/viewtopic.php?t=4228)
2) support for Winamp 5 skins (may be too much work, but worth looking into)
3) support for standard playlist formats (.pls)
4) SQLite database to remember position, pan-scan, and other settings for each file played

I sure there are other great ideas that I haven't thought of.
