Default mov and asf file problems

BSPlayer is great. I got it to play realmedia files and most windows files. I am having a problem however with mov files and asf files.

The mov files somtimes have a ticking noise when played or the sound gets garbled. It won't play asf audio period.

I tried using QuickTime Alternative to get quicktime running without needing the player and the sound ticks appeared. I got rid of the ticks with 3ivx, but then some mov files would not play at all in BSPlayer.

I have no idea how to get the asf audio to work period on any player so some help would be appreciated.

Thanks
