snowman53 is an unknown quantity at this point

I presume that a MPEG2 codec is already installed since other players can play the file and the list of codecs is identical between the two computers -one of which can play mpg files & one of which can not.

I have uninstalled & re-installed BSPlayer with the same result.

This leads me to conclude that BSPlayer on the problem computer is trying to use the wrong codec.

So I am hoping someone can tell me how to determine which codec BSPlayer is trying to use & how to tell it to use a different one.
