This is not a widescreen CRT. This is a standard 4:3 CRT.

Rezolutie recomandata: 1280x1024, that's 4:3 too.
Rezolutie maxima: 1920 x 1440 taht's 4:3
This is why you have those blackbars top and bottom.
Normally, widescreen CRTs are over 22".

notice the difference from 1920 x 1440 ? It's 400 pixels wider than yours.
