I kinda face the same problem - have DivX 5.02 codec installed but when I try running an .avi or other DivX movie I get a message telling me that "Unknown file format (DivX)". The movie plays fine in the DivX player but NOT in WMP or BS Player.
Any advice?

(On the same downloadpage there is "GSpot" i.e. a proggie which tells you exactly which codecs (video/audio) are used in a videofile and whether it is installed)  |
