Just a suggestion, but I had a similar problem and I opened the preferences toolbar (Ctrl+P) and entered the Audio section, then under 'for AC3 Decoding use...' chose InterVideo Audio decoder (I suppose other computers will have different options, but I just chose one at random). Worked for me...hope it helps!
