I have the same problem. Some videos stop only after a few seconds, some are totally black. No video and no audio is played, but the time runs. It's the same with the DivX-player. Windows media player only plays the "black" videos, with the others it doesn't work. Say's unknown file format or something like that. I tried ffdshow - didn't work. Somewhere I read that I should disable DivX at ffdshow - didn't work either. I'm using Windows XP professional and GeForce4.
Can anybody help me?! I have been trying for a whole week to make it work, but it still doesn't.
