Thanks for your quick help but after reboot today, things seem ok again.... the visual is there.
strange though, before things went black yesterday, I converted a short clip to mpeg4 and played back the new vid
the sound was way out of synch... like 60 seconds !
TODAY I play the same clip and suddenly the sound is ok. ... perfectly in synch !
