So you are runing windows vista or windows seven. If you really want to have Aero enabled when BSPlayer runs a movie, then EVR it's your answer. If not, I personally preffer to use Internal renderer (default).

It does not changes nothing in the movie. Internal renderer uses the engine designed by BSPlayer's creators to display the image, while EVR uses microsft's engine (Enhanced Video Renderer). I never saw glitches using first one, but saw problems when using the second one.
I am sorry that I can't test this behaviour, because I don't have long 1080ps (storage is low so I prefer to have 4x720p for the space of 1x1080p)

LE: this thing happens with 1 file or with all 1080p files you have ?

For a x264 compressed file if you use CoreAVC as video decoder, a Dual CPU around 2,2 GHz and about 1 GB of memory should be enough to play the file with no problems.
