I have been trying to figure out how to get bsplayer to play some 720p and 1080p .wmv files I have using the HW decoder. It will only play them using the SW decoder which of course is extremely slow due to the resolution. Is there a way to get HW decoded .wmv files to play? Tablet: Pantech Element CPU: ARMv7 Neon Details of one of the .wmv files that won't use HW decoding. Format : Windows Media File size : 93.3 MiB Duration : 2mn 30s Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 5 214 Kbps Maximum Overall bit rate : 10.2 Mbps Video ID : 1 Format : VC-1 Format profile : MP@HL Codec ID : WMV3 Codec ID/Info : Windows Media Video 9 Codec ID/Hint : WMV3 Description of the codec : Windows Media Video 9 - Professional Duration : 2mn 30s Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 5 000 Kbps Width : 1 920 pixels Height : 1 080 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate : 29.970 fps Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Progressive Compression mode : Lossy Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.080 Stream size : 89.4 MiB (96%) Language : English (US) Audio ID : 2 Format : WMA Format version : Version 2 Codec ID : 161 Codec ID/Info : Windows Media Audio Description of the codec : Windows Media Audio 9.2 - 192 kbps, 48 kHz, stereo 1-pass CBR Duration : 2mn 30s Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 192 Kbps Channel(s) : 2 channels Sampling rate : 48.0 KHz Bit depth : 16 bits Stream size : 3.43 MiB (4%) Language : English (US) I know the tablet can support HW decoding of .wmv files as I have used other players and they do HW decoding of the .wmv files. Problem is I need to use the very handy LAN feature as my files are on a network share. Also it plays all of my MKV and MP4 files without issue using HW decoding. |
