Quality on wide screen 16:9

Hi,

I have BS Player ver.2.40 on laptop Dell Studio 1555 16:9 screen

When I play some video files (like movies etc.)
the quality isn'y like I see for example in a regular ratio screen 16:10 or 4:3 (I think)
It's not sharp or seem to be a little spread...
how can I improve that?

Perhaps the movie's proper aspect ratio isn't kept?
(rightclick >) Video > Keep aspect ratio
