Bug in BSPlayer ver 2.5 regarding MP3 I downloaded BSPlayer version 2.5. I have an HP Pavilion dv7t-2000 CTO laptop, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HD, Windows Vista 64 bit Home Premium. When I tried to play a MP3 file the following message (in blue) appeared on the screen: BS.Player Unable to play media file ---------------------------------- BS.Player cannot play the media file. You don't have necessary codec installed, file may damaged or not media file. Click 'Find codec' to try to find codec. ---------------------------------- [Checked] When checking for codec as send file header (recommended) [Unchecked] Don't show this message again However, the MP3 file that causes this message is not corrupted since Real Player reads it flaswlessly. I appreciate your help at your earliest convenience. Ramiro |
FYI, I was getting this error in the previous version as well on this MP3: http://the-adventurers-club.typepad....eeper_tone.mp3 (I don't use BSPlayer for MP3s usually so I can't say if the error is specific to that MP3 or if it's all MP3s. But I thought it might help someone troubleshoot to have an actual MP3 that creates the error) |
