[FIXED AGAIN in 1031] [unfixed in 1028/29/30] [fixed in build 1026] Subtitle Editor Hello there and Happy New Year... :) I have a problem... I open the Subtitle Editor and once I try to load or even when I press New a window appears saying "An error occured in the application". http://img197.imageshack.us/img197/9...pboard01xf.jpg I have the latest version of BS 2.51 and the latest K-Lite Codec Pack 5.61. Anyone else having similar problems? Thanks in advance and greetings from Greece! :) |
confirmed (no codec pack) XP SP3. |

Do I have to uninstall K-Lite Codec Pack? About the SP3, I already have this SP installed. |
bug "confirmed", meaning that I experience the same bug. "no codec pack" meaning I have the bug but don't use a codec pack. "XP SP3" meaning that my OS is XP SP3 (just providing info; meaning nothing more nothing less) :confuse: (Note I'm just a user like you!) |
Oooh... Alright! :) I'm sorry, you know... I have met many people with different speaking and meaning over the web. Anyway... :) |
Bug still present in version 2.52.1023 (beta). P.S.: Build 1022Pro installed in folder BSplayer2Pro => crash Build 1023Pro installed in folder BSplayerProBeta => crash Some older version 2 builds I happen to still have installed: Build 959Pro installed in folder BSPlayerPro227 => working Build 986Pro installed in folder BSPlayerPro => working (I don't know with which build the sub-editor's bug started) |
No crash anymore in 1024beta. However editor simply doesn't work. New subfile cannot be created nor can an existing subfile be loaded. |
After being fixed in build 1026, re-introduced again in build 1028/1029: non-working Sub-editor! Edit: editor only working provided a video-file is loaded! |
"Non-working" meaning it doesn't open, or BS.P crashes upon opening? Any special steps, or do you just open PRO and right click > Subtitle editor (without media file loaded)? We can't reproduce this on XP, Vista and W7. |
Non working like: Quote:

I don't know about the 1026 build but in 1030 you need to load a video file to open or create a subtitle with the editor. I remember in 2.2x you didn't have to load a video to open a subtitle with the sub.editor... Anyway it's working now with a video loaded... :) |
The 1026 and 1027 builds worked without it being necessary to have a videofile loaded. As mentioned by me builds 1028/29/30 now require a video-file loaded. So you can use it with this "work-around" (but it should work without). |
New or old subtitle renderer? |
'Old' (working with 'new'; strange!) |
Fixed in 2031. (will be online in a few hours - or try EU server) |
