[FIXED] Problem re. rarred subs in (sub)folder 'Subtitles'
 

Strange. Didn't see that earlier, but also valid for previous builds.
('Auto load any subtitles in current directory' not selected.)
I played a 2-parts movie with (rarred .srt-) subs in a subtitles-subfolder.
(Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD.CD1/2-TDM.avi)
Then played an entirely different movie (TCWTS.avi) from the same main folder for which there were no subs.
The subs of the previous movie were automatically displayed.

Tested a bit more. With an additional movie and rar-file.
BS.Player apparently simply assumes the (alphabetically) first rar-file (with subtitles in it) which it encounters in a subfolder 'Subtitles' to be the subtitles to display (irrespective of names of subs and rar-files). I wasn't aware of that. Bug?

This seems to be solved ..... however
in build 1040B of 16-07-2010:
a) Names of video-files in a folder:
… - Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD.CD1-TDM.avi
… - Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD.CD2-TDM.avi
b) Name of rar-file inside sub-folder 'Subtitles':
… - Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD-TDM.rar
c) File names of subtitles in that rar-file:
… - Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD-TDM.CD1.srt
… - Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD-TDM.CD2.srt
Opening "Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD.CD1-TDM.avi" from BS.Player results in both subtitles being loaded and selectable (through rightclick > Subtitles > Primary ...) for being displayed, however incorrectly the CD2.srt being selected/played automatically.
(Ditto but -of course- then correct when initially opening the CD2-TDM.avi file from BS.Player's control panel.)

When the CD1-file is finished and the CD2-file (auto)starts, BS.Player correctly (again) shows the CD2.srt

You probably noticed that

Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD.CD1-TDM.avi is not the same format as
Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD-TDM.CD1.srt

We will do someting about this issue in upcoming final version.

Yes, of course I noticed that
Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD.CD1-TDM.avi
and
Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD-TDM.CD1.srt
are not the same format!
(Neither is Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD-TDM.rar
nor subtitle file names like
Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD-TDM.EN.CD1.srt)
But all have Mongol.2007.DVDRip.XviD as their common denominator.

I also know that the whole bunch was downloaded that way!

It's on purpose that I didn't change any filename (which I could have easily done) as beginning users will probably not do that either.
So it will be a good thing if BS.Player isn't confused by this anymore.
Look forward to test the new final version on this issue!

I have to come back on this to mention my additional finding, i.e. that this alphabetical preference by BS.Player is still there if "Auto load any subtitles in current directory" is selected (irrespective whether using 'old' or 'new' subtitle engine).

The other issue still stands, i.e. that - if "Auto load any subtitles in current directory" is selected - the strict alphabetical preference of BS.Player is still there (i.e. it loads/selects only the subs of the (alphabetically) first rar-file it finds in the subtitles-subfolder, irrespective of the presence also in that same folder of a to a large extend same-named rar-file with subs with also similar filenames as the moviefile.
But, of course one could also say, "any" really means "any", so literally maybe one cannot really complain (be it that only the subs from just one - the alphabetically first - rar-file are considered!!), though it would be nice if BS.Player would be a bit more 'intelligent'.

Didn't test for a while, but as far as I can tell now, these issues have been fixed.
