problem with ffdshow mpeg-4 video decoder...

hi, i have a prob again, this time with the ffdshow mpeg-4 video codec i installed from the nimo codec pack 5.0. the avi file i was trying to play used this codec - it played but there seems to be frame overlap, and there's always smudges of 'green' all over the video. i already have this prob with another file requiring ffdshow but still cannot get a solution. this happened with all players i has - bsplayer build 494, winamp 3, wmp 9 and 6.4.

any advice would be very much appreciated. thanks!

a little update on my problem. i found this page http://trendprofi.bei.t-online.de/xvidhelp.htm and the 'misty' one is my prob, so i uninstalled the whole nimo pack and reinstalled it without the ffdshow. but now the movie played, but the video is shaky, like earthquake :(

any idea how to solve this prob? could it just be a prob with the movie itself?

update... finally solved the prob myself... downloaded the latest XviD codec here http://nic.dnsalias.com/XviD_Install.exe
