Default bsplayer does not read WMV, ASF and some AVI : is it a bug ?

Hello,

BSplayer is a great video viewer, but ...

I have the latest version (build 493) and the problem is I can't play the above formats (though some avi are ok).

I tried changing overlay from mode 1 to 2 to "force RGB", and I also downloaded WMP codecs 8 from Microsoft, but nothing works so far : overlay mode 2 is the mode that allows me to read most of my vids, but still does not work with the above mentionned formats-codecs.

For your info, I have WMP8 (that loads everything but is very slow and ugly and so on ...), and instead of installing DIVX 5.02 or 5.03, this time I chose to use (on a clean installation) to use the Nimo codec pack 5.08 (basic install).

I need a practical solution to go on using bsplayer ...

Tx and Regards
