can't play mp4 videos I use BSplayer 2.63 and windows7. I had a message from BS that a codec is needed in order to play a video and I did the istallation. I don't remember the name of the codec, but since then I can't play mp4 videos because BS reads them as sound files. I have unistalled and install the programm many times but the problem stays. Also, when I open BSplayer I see this error: "can't save configuration file! please reinstall with default settings or choose folder with write permission." |
This is a Window 7's problem. You don't have full acces as a user on that computer, so the folder in which BSPlayer try to save the codecs and the configuration file is read-only. Try to disable UAC and un-set Program files folder as read-only. |
I did it, but it didn't work. Also, it's asking me to change my manager to EVR, but my manager already is EVR. |
It keeps asking you that because BSPlayer can't save the configuration file. You still have folders in which you are not able to write. Have you disabled UAC and restart ? |
Yes, I did everything you said. I used BSplayer without problems for about 6 months until that. I can't find more information to give you... Something that seems wrong is that video properties appear with gray colour. |
