Can't seek backwards

when i try to seek backwards, it stucks to a frames, and can't go back; exactly it go backs to a frame, plays a few, receives the next backward command, and returns to the same frame, the plays again and so on...

the video stream is a divx5, the player is bsp beta499

this way i can't study my films
