I need some help, when i try and play a movie file , in this case .avi, i get the warning DirectShow not installed! , can somebody help me?

No-one can help you - just install DirectX, preferaby 9.0b :wink:
...othervise you can't use DirectShow filters and remember, that all the codecs you will need to install too, are DirectShow filters :wink:
