xvid and avisynth I use bsplayer often to check avisynth scripts. When I open a divx or mpeg1/2 file this gives no problems. However, when I try to open an xvid movie using avisource I only get sound. Mediaplayer 6.4 opens the same script without any problems. I tried it with only the line avisource("moviename.avi"). BSplayer doesn't seem to find the xvid codec when a movie is opened this way. |
Install an XviD codec. |
Re: xvid and avisynth I have an xvid codec, otherwise mediaplayer wouldn't be able to play it either. I have koepi's built XviD-24062003-1. BSplayer is able to locate it perfectly as well when I load the avi itself, just not when it's played through avisynth. |
Maybe if you would use a filters (sub)directory and/or define Xvid-filter's use in a BSPlayer "BSPfilters.dat"-file (open the example: BSPfilters.sam from BSPlayer's installation directory in Notepad). Use search with keyword .sam to find out a bit more e.g. look here (or even here). |
Well, for me it, using latest AVIsynth and FFD show filters worked, except that the movie is blue - peoples skin are blue and red painted lips deeply blue, hehe. Nice bug of either AVIsynth of FFD show  The bug happen even if i disable some cool funny things, like FlipVertical and so  file: Matrix Revolutions Trailer.avs containing: AviSource("d:Matrix Revolutions Trailer.avi") FlipVertical found working  |
@BSPeter, I tried some things I found on the forum concerning the BSPfilters.sam file but had no luck. But for some reason now it all suddenly does work. I have no clue why it started working all of a sudden (I'm not using a filters folder or anything at all) but I guess that's just the weird way of computers sometimes :) |
