[BSPlayer 1.00.803 bug]: Crash with ffdshow There's an odd problem concerning BSplayer in combination with ffdshow (build 23-05-2003). I also posted this issue to the ffdshow developer, though I'm unsure whether BSPlayer or ffdshow is to blame. The problem is that BS Player (including older versions) crashes with certain DivX-movies & ffdshow (build 23-05-2003 or later). The actual cause within ffdshow seems the "Nic's postprocessing" option (when it's disabled everything works fine). One would guess at this point that ffdshow is to blame. But I did some further investigation and these are my findings: - using 23-05-2003 ffdshow (or better) + nic's postpostprocessing with OTHER players (Windows Media Player etc.) works fine. - When I enable Nic's postprocessing when a movie is already playing BSplayer also continues to run fine. I'm confused. Could maybe the BSplayer developer have a closer look at this problem. I'm willing to supply a sample of an divx-avi showing the problem. |
