Have you tried AC3Filter?
Or the movie could be really corrupted... :(

adicoto 15th January 2004 09:51 PM

Start by downloading and installing some decent codecs. I suggest for the beginnning, DivX, XviD and AC3 filter.

Download and open the movie in GSpot. It will tell you what codecs you need.

1. I understand you downloaded a lot of codecs, but did you installed them ? Or you installed the ones in the post I mentioned ?
2. Did you tryied to play the file in another media player, like Windows Media Player (6.4 or 7-9) ? Did the file played ?
3. What are you hardware specifications ? CPU, memory and videocard ?
4. Not all downloaded files are what they say they are. Some are fakes. But 5 in a row is too much to believe.

The file you mentioned above is a DivX coded movie, with no sound ?? It must play fine in BSPlayer or any mediaplayer, if you have the codec (DivX 5) installed.
If you can please install avicodec , go to codecs and filters and export them. Compress the .csv files (audio and video) to rar or zip and attach them on the post here.

Blanks

You must have downloaded what we call in kazaa as 'BLANKS' ..In other words you have downloaded a file that doesnt have any video or audio information. Try to use a software called Gspot Codec information analyzer http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ ...So copy a bit of your DAT download from the kazaa download folder (make sure the file is big enough already- let's say 15000 KB) This will tell you if the file has audio/video before you even continue on with the download. If Gspot tells you that it can't find audio information, then stop or cancel your download. Otherwise you will be wasting your precious time downloading 'Blanks". I hope this helps :)
