4K Video plays smoothly in VLC but super choppy in BSPlayer Hello, I'm trying to play a 4k .mkv video from my hdd, but in bsplayer it barely plays it, my cpu goes to 100% and it's just unplayable. I tried to play it with VLC and it works perfectly, vlc uses just 1% cpu while bsplayer uses 100%. Is that a codec problem? I looked inside vlc to see the codec it uses while playing the file, it seems that it uses MPEG-H Part2/HEVC (H.265) (hevc). Can i change to this codec in player? I have k-lite codec installed, tried to change the codecs inside bsplayer but it's so confusing, i cannot even see what codec bsplayer uses when i play any videofile Does anybody knows how to make it work properly? Thanks Specs: Intel Skylake i5 6400 16 gb ddr4 ram gtx 1050ti |
Yeah, i found a workaround this: Open the video -> right click -> options -> filters -> advanced -> double click on LAV Video Decoder -> Video Settings: In the Hardware Acceleration part by default is "None", change it to DXVA2 (native) and check everything you can under "Resolutions" Voila, you can play 4K Videos with BSPlayer (you need a good video card for this as it needs to use the power of a video card instead of using the power of the cpu for decoding) |
