bsplayer freeze I have noticed that the latest version of bsplayer freezes when you press the left arrow key to rewind a bit. I am using windows 98se so i do not know if xp has this problem also. I would appreciate it if someone could explain why this happens. Thanks |
Re: bsplayer freeze I noticed the same problem. System: Win XP. After some rewinds bsplayer freezes and I have to kill the task. This is very annoying. Is this bug already on the todo-list? |
I am running Win 2000, and have a similar problem with Build 808. I have the Period and Comma keys set for 10 second jumps (backward and forward). It usually takes no more than 4 or 5 jumps in either direction before BSPlayer freezes, and I have to end the task. The same problem happens sometimes when clicking on the (not sure of the name, I'll just call it the progress bar) to go forwards or backwards in larger increments. I don't use the arrow keys very often to seek, so I can't speak about that, but this seems to be the same issue as the previous two posts. I have had to go back to Build 807 because of this problem, which is unfortunate, as the audio stream and subtitle support seems to be much better in 808. Please, could someone look into this? Thank you. |
I have the same problem with the new version. Seeking by bar or keys freezes BSPlayer. Im running win2k. I tried several settings (VMR9, overlays... ), but its always the same. Greetz Michael |
Happens to me too. Windows XP Pro AMD Athlon 2000+ Roy. |

(WinXPSP1, AMD AthlonXP 2600, 512 DD-RAM) Anybody from webteh reading this??? Folding. |
Happening only on older divx3.1 compressed files. Probably the new build has something wrong on treating older divx movies via the new divx5.11 decoder. He is responsable for FF/rew on video files. |
I haven't checked all the codecs but this definitely happens with XVID files as well... And they all worked fine with the previous version of BSPLAYER and I'm pretty sure I have the same codecs installed. Hope someone finds a solution soon... This is getting on my nerves. Roy. |
This happens with every type of codec so this is definitely not codec related... Have tried .avi (divx 5, xvid) .mpg .wmv.... it always froze after 4-5 fwd seeks... Tried WMP  well it did not freeze... |
1 Attachment(s) Same problem happens to me - obviously related to latest BSPlayer, as I did not install any new codecs or anything. Seems to affect all file types, though I am not 100% if asf/wmv is also affected. I have to kill the process then, and with killing I get also some troubles with overlay (?) - not sure what, but movies and some fonts etc are broken (like very low resolution with much lower number of colors). My system: W98SE, 1.1GHz Celeron, 442 MB RAM E.g. "bsplayer.org" displayed on top of page is also 'dithered' after my movie went down by jumping in it by arrows |
I also have the same problem. winxp sp1, xp1700+ 512mb ddr |
I have the same problem with DivX or XviD. Not always but very often. My configuration: Win XP SP1, P4 2.6 GHz, 512 Ram, Geaforce 2 MX400. |
I have the same problem. I have to use 0.86 for video files because of it. Specs: Win ME, P2 .333, 128 Ram. |
it seems to freeze after a few attempts at any type of seeking. having to restart the computer to get full screen video working again is a problem while using p2p software. |

However, if you feel you desperately need an older version here you can find almost any previous version, so that you need not visit "some obscure russian site"! |

I noticed that, after I posted my reply (the post here above) to you with a link to where you can download almost any previous version of BSPlayer, you edited your earlier post re "some obscure russian site" where you found build 807 (which site isn't Russian but Bulgarian) ? Did you miss my reply? |
In version 1.00.809 (nightly build) problem with freezing when seeking should now be fixed! |
