Problem playing .ogm files without subtitles

Whenever I try to play a .ogm file with subtitles disabled I get the following error message:

BSPlayer v1.00.809, Unhandled exception at EIP: 0049E795
If you click 'Close' application will be terminated.
Please report this info to the author with description what were you doing.

I have noticed that if I enable subtitles the problem goes away, but then I have unwanted subtitles.

I am running BSPlayer Version 1.00 RC1 Build 809 released (16 Jun 2004)
on windows XP, GForce FX 5200 video card, and direct X 9.0b

Thanks! I just now bumped into exactly the same problem for the first time. The error message is exactly the same. The file in question is an .ogm file with embedded subtitles. DVobSub won't work with that file on bsplayer, but bsplayers own subtitle routines work fine.

Edit: DVobSub works fine after all with .ogm files when I tried it the next day, go figure... But still the problem remains that you have to have subtitles turned on in bsplayer for the player not to crash.
