Subtitles? Hi I've got big proublem with BSPlayer. I've updated last build (808) with new one (809) and from that moment subtitles are not showing when I play a movie. It's strange but it's true  What can I say: I've got all new codecs and I've tried diffrent way (uninstall BSPlayer + delete the folder than install new version)... I've noticed that happens when I open movie with subtitles type 00:00:00 (h:m:s) I don't know if this bug happens in other type's of subtitles... lastly sorry for my english  I'm still learning Metiu |
I can confirm that. Subtitles are not shown by .809 on my system. I've got Win2000 SP4 (PL), GeForce 2MX with 29.42 detonators, K-Lite Codec Pack 2.27. My friend has the same problem, he uses WinXP & RivaTNT, don't other details. |

I mean, you don't expect BSPlayer to support some weird subtitle format someone decided to come up with, do you? |

This format is among the most common uncommons. :D . But it was supported. If you don't have the suntitle on a cd, try to convertit using subadjust. Sometimes it makes wonders. |
But why the support was removed? |
Good question. |
It's TMPlayer format, widely used in Poland. Was removing support for this subtitle format intentionally? If yes... please, tell us why did you do this? If no, please make some type of fix/ patch/ new release.... 809 version support automatic line breaking, which is very improtant for me, but it's useless becouse I can't use my subtitles (most of them are in TMPlayer format) Thanks |
Probably BST have something in mind. Let's hope all will be solved. Meanwhile, as I posted earlier, if the subtitle is not on cd try to change the format. |
Yes, of course I can convert the subtitles, but it's not a solution (but even you can have subtitles on cd, you can copy converted version to hdd, so this is not a problem). |
If the problem with tmplayer format subtitles will not be solved in next version of bsplayer I propose to change the name of bsplayer. New name should be : nbsplayer (NOT BEST PLAYER) rgs. zrk2002 :!: |
Sorry to say that, but sooner or later, that format will not be supported probably any more. Srt, sub, ssa for text based subtitles are leading the market and are supported even by hardware DivX players. |
Even though txt files are not the most widely supported formats, I is still annoying that as from 809 BSplayer does not support the subtitle format with time stamps instead of frames anymore. I have masses of CD's with this format and for me that means that if it is not included in 810, I will stick with 808 or find another player. It is the most widely used format in Poland and here in The Netherlands it is also very widely used. It is very easy to change an error in such a subtitle with even a simple application like notepad. |

Could you please attach subtitle that don't work here ? Also file name of movie and subtitle. Support for this format was not removed. Only change is that if there is a lot of files in directory player doesn't try to auto load subtitles, because it's very hard to know which subtitle is for which movie and usually have different name than movie. |
Sample subtitle: http://netzah.dotgeek.org/Hellboy.txt subtitle name: Hellboy.txt movie name: Hellboy.avi It doesn't work even if subtitles are loaded manually. Thanx |
It's fixed in new build :D Thx. |

To BS Team Hi, There are problems with subtiles in new version also. This is fact that format mentioned below is now suported but subtitles are shown for one second or less. I can't configure that - there is no option. And another problem with second format. BS don't show subtitles in this format. Sample: http://napisy.gwrota.com/pobierz.php?id=747 Any infos, any solutions??? Big Thanks Mati |
Hey. Try Options -> subtitles -> maximum subtitle display time. It's set to 1000ms by default. I've changed it and it helped. |
Ohh.... I have tested it 100 times and nothing.... all options |

- load both movie and sub in SubEditPlayer - change the format of the subs - save the subs - play them in BSplayer That works, but it is a little detour. :? |

Serials which aren't yet shown in Holland, like Stargate Atlantis or The Dead Zone have only subs in .txt format. Maybe later they're also available in srt format, but not from the beginning, unfortunately. |
