Video starts playing in black I supose that it happens to more people. When I open a video, it looks like BSPlayer cannot read the first frame, so, it looks black until a new keyframe comes. It´s no more than a few seconds, but I would like not to happen. If someone can help me. Thanks a lot. |

I fixed it in BSPlayer by going into Options | Preferences | Video | Video Rendering. What I suggest is that you try the different options in here. The ones I have tried are the two overlay modes, and the VMR-9 modes. I found that VMR-9 (Renderless) often gave me that black screen, but VMR-9 works well, and sometimes, selecting none of these options also works OK. Right now, I have VMR-9 selected. This is in BSPlayer 1.02, build 812. Hope this helps. |
I have tried multiple options and I think everything goes equal. |
What version of DIvX and XviD decoders do you use ? DOes this apply to all video or they have something in common (all are DivX or Xvid) ? |
Well, I haven´t realized that. I will look better the next time and I´ll tell you. I know that with XviD yes happens. Thx! |
I know it better now (the problem, not english, so sorry for my mistakes) After I cut an DivX video with DirectVobSub sometimes I see the first frame black. When I am going to cut, in the DVSub appears an message which tells me than there is an "error" and that there would be add a desincronization and if I don´t want to it, that I separe the audio and video. I tell no, and everything goes OK except the video´s first frame isn´t see by BSP. I confirm that not is only with a cut video. Also happens with other DivX 5.2.1 videos. I know now that that DivX codec exists so, I´m going to download know. Perhaps it happens also with XviD. I have DivX 5.0.5, is it what you were asking? :? Thanks for your help. |
Yes, that it was I've asked. What happens if you use VirtualDubMod for the same reason. Do you get the wsame black frame ? |
I use WM9 jst to decode WM9 and things working this way like a charm  Othervise I use latest FFDshow build for the rest  |
Sorry for disturbe you (is well said?) The problem was of the XviD codec. I donloaded it from a page, and there explains everything. The one thing I had to do was reinstall the codec. But know that it happened to me after format my pc, too, so, it happened to me twice :? Now I have fixed (is this the word?) the problem. Thanks for help me! or for trying... Quote:
