BSPlayer & Direct VobSub Problem (I need your help pleas

Hello everybody;

i just read the topic about DVS and BSPlayer. But I think the problem is little different. Here what happens to me:

I always use VobSub to display subtitles. Cuz you can automatically switch between subtitle files. I am from Turkey and I try to use English and Turkish subtitles for every movie. I name them like this, e.g.:

Matrix.avi
Matrix.ENG.sub
Matrix.TR.sub

so i can switch between ENG and TR subtitles, whenever I want, using VobSub's tray icon. it's very easy to use. VobSub always recognizes subtitle files, SRT or SUB. But after I install Divx 5.2 and 5.2.1 it doesnt. if I use BSPlayer vobsub doesnt run. if I use Media Player there is no problem, VobSub runs. if i uninstall Divx 5.2.1 and reinstall Divx 5.1.1 there is no problem. I dont have any idea about this but I am looking forward to someone will explain this.

Best regards

No solution...

First of all, thank you for your interest.

I already read that topic, and it doesnt solve any problem, that's why I asked for people's help.

Some people, including you, suggests converting idx/sub files into text based subtitles files, like srt. That can work but doesnt solve the problem, but makes us avoid from problem.

The problem occurs only if I use DivX 5.2 or 5.2.1. If I use DivX 5.1.1 BS Player and Vobsub works great.

By the way, I have 7 or 8 idx/sub subtitle files. I use Vobsub to display regular text based SRT and SUB subtitle files. Conversion is not a solution here.

I hope someone from BS Player team will come up some idea. Cuz I like this player.
Best regards

Try reading this thread. The problem discussed there seems similar to yours (DVS won't load with BSPlayer).

That thread sure seems to get quoted a lot. When I was searching for help with my DVS/BSPlayer problems, I noticed several threads where people were posting links to this one thread (the problem of forcing BSPlayer to load DVS). So, if everyone else is reading it, you might as well too :).
