Subtitles fail on certain computers (v1.02 build812) I'm running bsplayer on a couple of XP Pro machines and on one machine the subtitles (filmtitle.avi filmtitle.sub filmtitle.idx) don't get loaded at all (I've enabled load subtitles in the same dir as the film) . In addition the subtitle context menu always appears grey'ed out. On the other machine everything works just fine on exactly the same video files shared over a network. Both machines are running the same version of bsplayer from the same install medium. Has anyone got any suggestions about how to start debugging this problem? I don't really know where to start - forceing bsplayer to load the .sub file hasn't had any effect, and copying the .xml config file from one machine to the other didn't get anything working. Thanks in advance |
On the machines it doesn't work, install vobsub. Sub\idx subtitles are not handeled by BSPlayer, only via Vobsub. Probably on the other machines is allready installed. |
Many thanks - I was not aware that BSPlayer couldn't handle .sub files. With Vobsub installed on both machines subtites are now working |
