Default BSplayer wont recognise several audio formats

I have been trying to use BSPlayer for some times now, but every time I d/l a new version and test it, it still won't recognise several common audio codeces i have such as Div3 and so on. Even the ancient Microsoft Media Player 6.4 has no problem with these codexes, neither does PowerDVD.
Has anybody else experienced these problems? Is there a fix for them? Should I be doing something different? I am using the new 1.1 free version and klite codec pack 220f.

Div3 is a video and audio format. It is decoded by DivX 3.11. Install it. You'll have no problems.

like I said, I DO have all the codexes installed via the klite codec pack.
is THAT all the suggestions I will get? Not very helpful this forum is it?
Bah, i installed PowedDVD and it works fine with ALL codexes and formats. As usual, if you want a good soft, get a paid one.

Power DVD don't use codecs. So probably the file you played is in AC3 audio format. And as a general advice, don't use codec packs, they usually mess up codecs.
