Cannot read mkv files

Hello,

I encounter a problem when I try to read a .mkv file.
I've got the sound but not the picture :

I already installed the Matroska Pack Full and the alterative codec pack.
How come it does not work ?

Thank you in advance. Bye.

Matroska filter just splits the file. You will also need the filter to decode the streams. So, update XviD and DivX decoders. In options->filters see the filter used to decode.

Thanks for your help.

My Xvid and DivX decoders are updated.
Here is my option/filters :

I don't think real video decoder have something to do with the avi decoder. Strange thing. So, no XviD, nor DivX decoder are running, just real video. Try to update it also. By any chance do you also have 3ivx codec installed ?

Yes, it is installed.
What is strange is that I can read the video with Media Player Classic.
The problem is specific to Bsplayer.

Yes, MPC have a better integration with RealMediaSplitter. Some posts here say about a bug in last version so BSPlayer can't play corectly the real media files with the last realmedia alternative. Probably the only way to solve is to return to an older version of realmedia alternative.

Had the same problem here...

Are you using Overlay mode 1?

Try changing the overlay mode.

For me, Overlay mode 2 or VMR-9 (renderless) worked for a .mkv package with RealVideo content.

Hm. The AVI Splitter seems to be misplaced here.
Did you analyse the file with gspot?
Obviously you did not create the matroska file, didn't you?

Could you provide a picture of the advanced view of the direct show filters in use?
I suspect the source filter/splitter is NOT matroska splitter....
