Official BS.Player forums - .mkv subtitle issue

I'm having problems loading an .mkv's subtitles. The player doesn't recognize they exist. When I hit S to try to load them automatically, I get the following error:

I have CCCP (FFDshow, Haali, VSfilter etc..) installed, along with xvid, 3ivx, and ac3.

Version: BSplayer version 1.36 (FREE)

I can load the file in VLC and Zoom Players without problems. Hope you can help!
