It can't be AC3 and MP3. Do you have an AC3 decoder and an XviD decoder (codec) ?

medverd 6th November 2005 06:47 PM

yes i have both.. they came with DivxTotalPack 2.3
CORRECTION: The Video Format is XVID and Audio is Mpeg Layer-3 (mp3)

OK, it can't be MP3's decoder error, so probably is caused by the video decoder. Can you tell what version do you have ?

PS: nasty thing codec packs

how do i get to know the version of xvid and mp3?

btw i have some other xvid movies and they work fine...
but those that give an error to bsplayer don't even open with VDUB...

B-frame decode error ?
Sorry, XviD decoder version is hard to get. But try to uninstall it from start->all programs->xvid or start->all programs->your_code_pack->xvid and install latest version (1.1.0 beta 2) from http://www.koepi.org/xvid.shtml

i have just done that... it still gives the same error..
could it be the file that is corrupted? (the 2 files i mean)

Does virtualdub open the file after the error or not ?
If you uninstall xvid and assign divx decoder to decode genereic MPEG4 what happens ?

medverd 6th November 2005 07:49 PM

hahah!!! i didn't even need to uninstall XVID.. nice!
i just put divx to decode generic mpeg4... THX alot!
