Playing DVD's with BSPlayer

I'm a newbie and this question seems to have been posted before, but the replies haven't worked for me.
I am using BSPlayer to view video coded with Xvid codec and this works fine; but I would like to view DVD's but the screen remains blank (Dvd's are Mpeg4). Can someone tell me how to handle this problem.
