Wrong length of MP3 tracks On most of MP3 files i tryed to play Bsplayer shows time twice longer when real time of MP3 track so simply it shows incorrect time of some mp3 files. I am using bsplayer 1.41 build 832. This happened for all previous bsplayer builds. Is it feature or the bug? |
Can you post wich decoder is used to play the files (options->filters) |
BSPlayer is nothing more than a DirectShow front-end. Your DirectShow filter (like l3codecx.ax) probably doesn't recognize Variable Bit Rate files and assumes that the bitrate of the first frame is constant thru the entire clip. You can use a dedicated audio player like Foobar2000 (which will parse the first header frame and can write a new one if needed) or resize the first MPEG frame to be as close to the average frame size as possible. |

I think you still use Windows' bult-in decoder who have problems with high sampling frequencies or VBR. You can try to install an alternate decoder such the one who comes with DivX 3.11 (say yes when asked about overwriting) or Odio Dekoda. |

Can you upload the problematic file? What length does it display? PS. Moonlight Odio is a big piece of junk. l3codecx has no problems, except that it doesn't know the Xing or VBRI frame. |
