BSplayer and Total Commander After a long YM discution with a fellow countryman we agreed that there is an issue between Total Commander and BSplayer: When opening a video file from inside TC, BSPlayer crashes with an error message: 00485CEF, read of adress 00000034. Tested with ffdshow, DivX decoder, XviD decoder, DMO decoder, same behaviour Tested with window's avi splitter and also with Haali Re-registered quartz.dll Thumbnail mode disabled in TC Same file opened from Explorer plays fine without problems. Could this be related to open/play commands that BSplayer uses ? |
Re: BSplayer and Total Commander What versions are you talking about? BSPlayer 2 has crashed for me ever since. That is until today, when I tried to select "VMR7" and "VMR9". With these renderers BSPlayer2 is working properly. I launch the program from Total Commander v6.54 using “bsplayer.exe "%L"” shell command. What shell command you are suspecting to crash BSPlayer? |
6.56 seems to be the version the developpers reccomend. We talk about version 7 beta 3. He was not launching the program from TC, he was directly opening a video file. |
Did this problem surfaced when you doubleclick a video file? I only tested BSPlayer 2 as a secondary option for opening (via the right-click context menu). |
