Bsplayer loses pan&scan settings when paused

First of all, I use Bsplayer 1.37.

I'm using a 16:10 widescreen monitor, and when I watch 16:9 movies I usually press "O" to get rid of the black bars. The problem is that whenever I press the pause button, the movie flashes and the pan&scan settings are back to their original values. This also occurs when I use the , en . buttons to navigate trough the movie.

Codecs I'm using:
- FFDShow
- Haali's Matroska Splitter
- AC3Filter
- QuickTime Alternative (CoreAVC, CoreACC)

I do not have this problem with Bsplayer 1.35, but it used to work with Bsplayer 1.37 and now it doesn't :( .

No problem here (but I'm not using ffdshow filter, but DivX5.2.1 codec).
"Remember Pan-Scan settings" is checked?
(under rightclick > Options > Preferences > Video > [General]).
Also there: is "Cut top and bottom of video in full screen mode" selected?
(Done any installations/updates recently?)

I have that checked. The problem occcurs since I reinstalled my laptop. Also the movie flashes when I hit the pause button, no matter if I'm using pan&scan settings or not. So I assumed it's some kind of video rendering problem, but playing with those options didn't really help me. For now I'm using Bsplayer 1.36.

And now that I think of it, I think that I have far too little video rendering options. I used to have more...

Your picture doesn't really illustrate what you mean (it only shows the renderingmode as selected by you). This is shown by BSPlayer1.37 (actually there is one further mode at the bottom of the list, i.e. VMR9 renderless).

Could you clarify what you mean?

"Wait for vertical blank" and "Disable YUV12 format". Those checkboxes are the only ones I have know, but I though I used to have a lot more. apparently not...

Well, problem still stands.

Maybe before that you used to use a different decoder or a different version of ffdshow-filter?
You can see which codec/filter BSPlayer actually uses for a particular video file loaded under (rightclick >) Options > Filters > Advanced

He was using another build, probably a newer one ("more options" ).
In fact there is a build that had this problems, maybe a step by step search will reveal wich build had it.

Only since BS.Player 2.21 there is just one more checkbox, i.e. "Try not to drop frames".

I know that, but the problem occurs when playing both XviD and X264 encoded files.
