I ve installed xvid, divx and AC3 codecs and when I want to run a movie (avi) this error shows:

If you click 'Close' application will be terminated.

What could be the problem?

In principle you only need either xvid or divx codec not both.
(Or alternatively ffdshow).
Skin used? (Assumably default base skin?)
What is your OS?
Maybe read my Help2Help-post (especially items 3 and 4).
(P.S.: From where did you download this version?)

I checked with GSpot and it says that codecs are installed. I use no codecs pack. Then I tried to play the file with windows media player and it works fine. So the codecs are not a problem. It seems that the problem is with BSplayer. I use the old version because it is add free. I have never experienced problem with this version. What could be wrong?

Do you have Nero installed ? If so, please go to c:\program files\common files\nero\ds filter\ and rename nemp4splitter.ax into something different. Does it work now ?

Or disable Nero filter from BSplayer filter manager (CTRL+P -> Filter management)
Also it could be a problem with the avi splitter, but I think that the previous suggestions are the ones that lead to your problem

Now I dont have Nero installed on my computer (it was installed before I reinstalled windows). I also checked for Nero filter and it wasnt on the list.

Can anyone help me with my problem please...

Try to install FFDShow and let it handle all your video contents..
