About F1
Minor thing but if you play in full screen and accidentally (or not) press F1 BSPlayer starts crashing after it hides the About window and you'd like to exit full screen by Esc.

Another related crash:
If you have "Always on Top" for the "Video Window" bring up the preference window (Ctrl+P) or About (F1) it pops up nicely in front as it should right? But if you then deselect and choose another program and the decide to go back to BSPlayer the "Video Window" starts to overlap the "preference window"/"About window". This is kinda annoying as "About window" locks BSPlayer all together and if you press F1 again another "About window" opens and the BSPlayer pretty much crashes all together.

(Just returned from a short holiday In Denmark)
Sorry, cannot reproduce this behaviour with BS.Player 228 963.
Anyone?

Me neither, the only bug I can confirm is that if you press F1, then select another app, then coma back to BSP and press F1 again, (About info start to move weirdly/slowly, and...) when you close an About window error messages start to pop-up

(anyway I hope you had a good holiday. Welcome back ;) )

Can't reproduce the F1 thing.

Edit BSPeter:
and repeat continuously when e[x]iting the errorbox

Yepp, I can confirm that bug!

I can't confirm that neither.

LE: May be something related to "always on top" ? (disabled in here by default)

BSPeter 6th May 2008 12:04 AM

Yes, indeed seems to be connected to "Always on top" (normally always disabled here too, but just enabled it for testing).
(It appears that two about-windows can be opened then.)

Tizio 6th May 2008 02:39 PM

Yes, AOT related..
A similar bug has been fixed before, but it seems that not all the related routines has been fixed. Probably it will be fixed in next release

As for the first bug I was slightly off, you need to go into full screen then get the press (F1) and wait for the "About window" to hide then press (F1) again and then the bug appears.

New bug:
Video Window On Top Of Preferences Window
Start BSPlayer, get the option window open (Ctrl+P) now go into full screen then back and the "Video Window" is stuck on top of the "preference window". This only happens if you open the "preference window" before you go into full screen, not during.

Welcome back BSPeter. :)

Tizio 8th May 2008 08:34 PM

For the first bug I tried to replicate the way you said, but I can't reproduce it..
I can't reproduce the new bug too..first time I click preferences window it get stuck behind, but if I click it a second time it finally goes normally on top

Okay, I guess it's most on my end then but could someone try the following (getting complicated lol):

1)Start BSPlayer
2)Start a movie (no matter what format)
3)Bring up the "preference window" (Ctrl+P)
4)Go into full screen by "double clicking" your mouse
5)"click" ones to show the "control window"
6)Now exit full screen by again, "double clicking" the mouse (not Esc)

To me the "preference window" is now hidden behind the video window no matter what I do, if the "control window" is hidden however (automatically or manually by clicking) there's no problem.

Tizio 9th May 2008 08:53 AM

Ok, this way I can reproduce it, but if I double click again the video window (so I go to full screen again) and then double click it to go normal (without making the one-click-to-show-controls-window) preferences window can be moved on-top again ;)
